Meet Ken’s riding partner and family friend, Brian Herrold.
After hearing about Ken’s upcoming USA bike ride to inspire hope, Brian knew that he wanted to take part in this once-in-a-life-time opportunity. Three years ago Brian lost his father suddenly to a heart attack and was jolted into an awareness of the fragility of life. He believes that if his father had been encouraged to exercise daily and have regular check ups and periodic stress tests he might still be here today. Now, at age forty two, Brian has made these preventive steps in the fight against heart disease a part of his life. He wants to encourage others to do the same. He has learned from Ken that there is life after major heart surgery. Brian feels honored to ride with Ken to inspire hope and, if appropriate, to encourage people to make important changes in their lives.
